A 2.5m wide drawing of 27km wide Malta. Drawn by the émigré, in rainy London, from memory. Distorted by nostalgia and forgetfulness, it is completely inaccurate. Taking the inaccurate, nostalgic, personal memory map back to Malta, Nina asked people to correct it, to draw their version of Malta over hers and in doing so, implicitly asking the question of what it means to be Maltese. The map was used as a tablecloth for discussions over meals. Nina carried it all over the island and collected markings, drawings, coffee stains, crumbs and stories - fragments that make up our identity.
