well preserved women

A collaboration with Julia Pond.

Well Preserved Women is an interdisciplinary project making scaled up terracotta pinch pots with and around women’s bodies, through shifting patterns of whole body movement. These sculptures become ‘fossils’, a record of space once occupied by laps, breasts, hands, shoulders. Placed outdoors to erode and weather away, gradually disappearing back to the earth, in a meditation on time, care, and visibility.
