As part of the Malta Art Biennale 2026 Nina Gerada will be interviewed by journalist and writer Ann Dingli at St Catherine of Italy’s Church, Valletta.

Artist Nina Gerada will discuss work developed over the past 20 years in relation to Malta. She reflects on walking, mapping and collecting as research methods that require time, attention, and care. The talk explores questions of embodiment, collective memory, and Malta’s unique scale. Grounded in an ongoing relationship with the landscape and surrounding sea, her practice addresses themes of change, loss, and hope, while articulating a deep spiritual connection to the islands.
